Your step-by-step itinerary
El Chaltén → Poincenot Camp → Explore and visit viewpoints
Transfer Río Eléctrico → Río Blanco → Poincenot Camp → Explore and visit viewpoints
From the hotel in El Chaltén we take a transfer to the Río Eléctrico bridge where we begin walking along Río Blanco until reaching Poincenot Camp. After settling into the campsite we head out to explore and visit viewpoints.
Laguna de los Tres to Laguna Torre
Camp Poincenot → Laguna de los Tres → Madre e Hija → Camp Torre
After breakfast we head to Laguna de los Tres, which takes about 3 hours round trip to the camp. We have lunch, reorganize our gear, and continue our hike along the Madre e Hija trail towards Laguna Torre where we'll spend our second night.
Laguna Torre → Cerro Solo Viewpoint → El Chaltén
Camp. Torre → Laguna Torre → Morena terminal → Mirador Cerro Solo → El Chaltén
From Torre Camp we begin our hike to the lagoon, which is a half-hour walk away. We circle the lagoon walking along its terminal moraine and visit the Cerro Torre Valley viewpoint on the northern slope of Cerro Solo. Then we return to camp, reorganize our backpacks, and head back to El Chaltén.
